Controlling and disabling in-assembly chat

Overview
As the host, you can control which meeting or webinar members are allowed to talk with. You can also disable the chat function for all members, or disable non-public disabled chat room in zoom chat so contributors cannot send non-public messages.

Controlling chat get right of entry to
Meeting and webinar hosts can manage whether participants can chat with all of us, with panelists and the host (for webinars), or with the host simplest. 

Start a assembly or webinar as host. 
Click Chat inside the Meeting Controls.

At the lowest of the in-assembly Zoom Group Chat window, click on More, after which select an option for Allow attendees to talk with.
For meetings, the host can permit attendees to chat with every person or with the host most effective.

For webinars, the host can permit attendees to speak with no person, with all panelists (which include host), or with all panelists and attendees.

Disabling in-meeting chat
You can turn chat for all your conferences and webinars, in case you do now not need to apply the chat feature on your conferences and webinars. This will save you the host, co-hosts, and individuals from chatting for any meetings you host. The Chat option will not seem in the Meeting Controls.

You can disable the Private Chat, which will save you individuals from sending messages to individuals as opposed to the complete group.

Sign in to the Zoom net portal.
In the navigation menu, click Settings.
Navigate to Chat alternative below In Meeting (Basic).
Click the Chat and Private Chat toggles to disable in-meeting chat.
Click Save Changes.
