Cork North Central is a parliamentary constituency represented in Dáil Éireann, the lower house of the Irish parliament or Oireachtas. The constituency was established at the 1981 general election under the Electoral Act 1979.
Cork North Central is one of three constituencies in County Cork. It covers the northern and central parts of the city of Cork, as well as some rural areas to the north and west of the city.
The constituency has a population of 103,434, according to the 2016 census. The electorate is 74,371.

The constituency has been represented by a variety of parties over the years. Fianna Fáil has been the most successful party, winning the most seats in the constituency in seven of the eleven general elections since 1981.
Fine Gael has been the second most successful party, winning the most seats in two of the eleven general elections since 1981.
Sinn Féin has been the third most successful party, winning the most seats in one of the eleven general elections since 1981.
Solidarity has won one seat in the constituency in the 2016 general election.
The constituency is likely to remain competitive in the next general election, with all four of the current TDs seeking re-election.
