Cork v Limerick

I remember my first Cork v Limerick match like it was yesterday. The year was 1992 and I was only a young lad. My father was a huge Cork GAA fan and he took me to Páirc Uí Chaoimh to see the Munster football final.
I was immediately struck by the size of the crowd and the atmosphere was electric. The match itself was a close affair but Cork eventually won by a few points. I was hooked from that moment on and I've been going to Cork matches ever since.
Over the years, I've seen some great Cork teams and some great Limerick teams. I've seen some great matches and some not so great matches. But one thing that has never changed is the passion of the fans.
Cork and Limerick are two of the most passionate GAA counties in Ireland and the rivalry between the two counties is one of the most intense in the country. The matches are always fiercely contested and the atmosphere is always electric.
I'm lucky to have been able to witness some of the great moments in Cork GAA history. I was there in 2010 when Cork won their first All-Ireland title in 20 years. I was there in 2013 when Cork won their second All-Ireland title in three years. And I was there in 2017 when Cork won their third All-Ireland title in five years.
But it's not just the big moments that make Cork GAA special. It's the small moments too. It's the camaraderie of the fans, the passion of the players, and the sense of community that comes from being part of something bigger than yourself.
I'm proud to be a Cork GAA fan and I'm proud of the team that represents my county. I know that they will always give their all and that they will always represent Cork with pride.
So if you're ever in Cork on a match day, make sure to get yourself to Páirc Uí Chaoimh and experience the passion of Cork GAA. You won't be disappointed.
And if you're a Limerick fan, well, you're welcome to come too. But don't expect any sympathy from the Cork fans!
