COSAFA Cup 2024
The 2024 COSAFA Cup, officially the
2024 COSAFA Men's Senior Challenge, will be the 23rd edition of the COSAFA Cup, an international association football tournament organized by the Council of Southern Africa Football Associations (COSAFA) for men's national teams of Southern Africa.
The tournament will be held in Madagascar from July 5–19, 2024. The tournament will be contested by 12 teams, with the winner qualifying for the 2024 African Nations Championship.
Participating teams
The following 12 teams will participate in the tournament:
- Angola
- Botswana
- Comoros
- Eswatini
- Lesotho
- Madagascar (host)
- Malawi
- Mauritius
- Mozambique
- Namibia
- Seychelles
- South Africa
- Zambia
- Zimbabwe
Format
The tournament will be played in a group stage and a knockout stage. The 12 teams will be divided into three groups of four teams each. The top two teams from each group will advance to the knockout stage, along with the two best third-placed teams.
The knockout stage will consist of quarter-finals, semi-finals, and a final. The winner of the final will be crowned the COSAFA Cup champion.
Venues
The tournament will be played at four stadiums in Madagascar:
- Mahamasina Municipal Stadium, Antananarivo
- Vontovorona Stadium, Antananarivo
- Stade Municipal de Mahajanga, Mahajanga
- Stade Municipal de Toamasina, Toamasina
Schedule
The tournament will be played from July 5–19, 2024. The group stage will be played from July 5–11, the quarter-finals will be played on July 12, the semi-finals will be played on July 14, and the final will be played on July 19.

The tournament will be broadcast live on SuperSport in Africa and on ESPN+ in the United States.
