Crazy Trek Done by Sylwia Broquel
I'm Sylwia Broquel, and I'm here to tell you about my crazy trek. I've always loved hiking, but I've never done anything like this before.
It all started when I saw a documentary about the Inca Trail. I was immediately fascinated by the idea of hiking through the Andes Mountains to the ancient city of Machu Picchu. I knew it would be a challenge, but I was up for it.
I started training for the trek months in advance. I hiked every weekend, and I gradually increased the distance and elevation gain. I also made sure to eat a healthy diet and get plenty of rest.
I arrived in Cusco, Peru, a few days before the trek was scheduled to begin. I spent those days acclimating to the altitude by hiking to nearby ruins and taking it easy. I also met with my guide, a local Quechua man named Juan.
On the morning of the trek, I was nervous but excited. I knew it would be a long and difficult journey, but I was confident that I could do it.
The first day of the trek was the hardest. We hiked for hours through the Andes Mountains, and the altitude made it difficult to breathe. I was exhausted by the end of the day, but I was also proud of myself for completing such a challenging hike.
The next few days of the trek were equally challenging, but I slowly started to get used to the altitude. I also started to enjoy the scenery. The Andes Mountains are beautiful, and I was amazed by the variety of plants and animals that I saw along the way.
On the fourth day of the trek, we reached Machu Picchu. It was an incredible feeling to finally see the ancient city after all that hiking. I spent the rest of the day exploring the ruins and taking pictures.
The next day, I hiked back down the Andes Mountains. It was a long and difficult hike, but I was glad to be back in Cusco. I was exhausted, but I was also proud of myself for completing the trek.
I'm so glad that I decided to do the Inca Trail trek. It was one of the most challenging things I've ever done, but it was also one of the most rewarding. I'm so grateful for the opportunity to have experienced such an amazing place.
If you're considering doing the Inca Trail trek, I highly recommend it. It's a challenge, but it's worth it. Just be sure to train in advance and to be prepared for the altitude.
Here are a few tips for hiking the Inca Trail:
- Train in advance. The Inca Trail is a challenging trek, so it's important to be in good shape before you start. Hike several times a week, and gradually increase the distance and elevation gain.
