Cross-country superstar Therese Johaug has ended her competitive career.

After two Olympic gold medals, four World Championship golds, and 14 World Cup victories, the 34-year-old Norwegian skier has decided to hang up her skis.

A Legacy of Success

Johaug made her international debut in 2007 and quickly rose to the top of her sport. In 2010, she won her first Olympic medal, a silver in the 30km freestyle. Four years later, she claimed her first Olympic gold in the 30km freestyle, adding another gold in the 15km skiathlon in 2018.

At the World Championships, Johaug has been even more dominant, winning four gold medals in the 10km freestyle, 15km skiathlon, 30km freestyle, and relay. She also has three silver medals and three bronze medals to her credit.

In the World Cup, Johaug has been a force to be reckoned with. She has won 14 individual races, including the prestigious Tour de Ski three times. She has also been part of the Norwegian team that has won the World Cup relay a record six times.
