The Cascadian Subduction zone is a zone that:
a. Is right where the North American and Juan de Fuca plate meet
b. Is an active fault zone
c. can cause massive earthquakes with a 8-10 on the Richter scale
d. Not only this, but it is also connected to the San Andreas Fault as well as many others
e. As you can see in the phtoto above there are also many volcanes just on the outside of this zone, so when there is an earthquake these volcanoes also become a major problem.
f. As our temperature "rises" or "declines" this will probably not affect this subduction zone, therefore the people that would be affected by this zone are alread ypreparing for the worst.
Here you can see a more detailed image of the Subduction Zone and the plates that suround it.
