Curro Teacher Fired
Well, well, well, what do we have here? Another Curro teacher has been shown the door! This time, it's a teacher from one of their Durban schools. I won't name names, but let's just say that they won't be teaching there anymore.
Now, I'm not going to go into all the details of what happened. That's not my place. But what I will say is that this is not an isolated incident. There have been a number of Curro teachers who have been fired in recent times.
And do you know what the worst part is? It's not that these teachers are being fired for just cause. In many cases, they're being fired for speaking out against the way that Curro is run.
I've heard from several Curro teachers who have been fired for speaking out against the curriculum. They've been told that they're not following the Curro way. And what is the Curro way, you ask? It's a way of teaching that is very focused on rote learning. It's a way of teaching that doesn't allow for any creativity or critical thinking.
And that's not all. I've also heard from Curro teachers who have been fired for speaking out against the administration. They've been told that they're not being team players. And what does that mean? It means that they're not following the Curro party line. They're not just going along with whatever the administration says.
This is a problem. It's a problem because it creates a culture of fear and intimidation. It's a culture where teachers are afraid to speak out against anything, for fear of losing their jobs.
And that's not the kind of culture that we want in our schools. We want a culture where teachers feel free to express their opinions. We want a culture where teachers feel free to challenge the status quo.
So, what can we do about it? Well, the first step is to raise awareness of the problem. We need to let people know what's going on at Curro. We need to let people know that Curro is firing teachers for speaking out.
And once people are aware of the problem, we can start to take action. We can start by boycotting Curro schools. We can start by writing letters to our elected officials. We can start by supporting organizations that are fighting for the rights of teachers.
Together, we can make a difference. We can create a culture where teachers feel free to speak out. We can create a culture where teachers are valued for their opinions.
So, what are you waiting for? Get involved today!
