Dallas vs Wolves Game 3: A Wild Night in the Lone Star State




The Dallas Mavericks and Minnesota Timberwolves faced off in a thrilling Game 3 of their Western Conference first-round playoff series on Saturday night. The game was a roller coaster from start to finish, with both teams trading blows throughout the contest.

The Mavericks came out firing in the first quarter, led by the hot shooting of Luka Dončić. Dončić scored 15 points on 6-of-9 shooting in the period, and the Mavericks took a 34-26 lead after one.

The Timberwolves fought back in the second quarter, however, as Karl-Anthony Towns and Anthony Edwards combined for 28 points. The Timberwolves took a 62-56 lead into halftime.

The third quarter was a back-and-forth affair, with neither team able to gain a significant advantage. The Mavericks held a slim lead heading into the fourth quarter, but the Timberwolves were right there in striking distance.

The fourth quarter was a wild one. The Timberwolves took an early lead, but the Mavericks came back to tie the game with just over two minutes remaining. With the game on the line, Dončić hit a step-back three-pointer to give the Mavericks a 104-101 lead. The Timberwolves had a chance to tie the game in the final seconds, but Edwards' three-pointer bounced off the rim, and the Mavericks held on for the win.

Dončić finished the game with 33 points, 12 rebounds, and 8 assists. Towns led the Timberwolves with 27 points and 14 rebounds. Edwards added 24 points.

The Mavericks now lead the series 2-1. Game 4 will be played in Dallas on Monday night.
