Dallas vs Wolves Game 4

The Dallas Mavericks and Minnesota Timberwolves faced off in Game 4 of their first-round playoff series on Saturday night in Minneapolis. The Mavericks entered the game with a 2-1 series lead, looking to take a commanding 3-1 advantage, while the Timberwolves were desperate to tie the series at 2-2 and head back to Dallas for Game 5 with momentum on their side.

The game was a back-and-forth affair from the opening tip-off, with both teams trading baskets and neither able to gain a significant advantage. The Mavericks led by just four points at halftime, and the Timberwolves came out strong in the third quarter, taking a brief lead before the Mavericks regained control and entered the fourth quarter with a five-point advantage.

In the fourth quarter, the Mavericks finally began to pull away. Led by Luka Doncic's 33 points, 12 rebounds, and 7 assists, the Mavericks outscored the Timberwolves by 12 points in the final period to win 124-113 and take a 3-1 lead in the series.

Doncic was simply unstoppable in Game 4, getting to the rim at will and creating scoring opportunities for his teammates. He also did a great job of distributing the ball, finding open shooters and setting up easy baskets. Kristaps Porzingis also had a strong game for the Mavericks, scoring 21 points and grabbing 10 rebounds.

For the Timberwolves, Karl-Anthony Towns led the way with 26 points and 11 rebounds, but he was not able to get enough help from his teammates. Anthony Edwards scored 19 points, but he shot just 6-of-17 from the field. D'Angelo Russell added 18 points, but he was also inefficient, shooting just 7-of-20 from the field.

The Mavericks now have a chance to close out the series in Game 5 on Tuesday night in Dallas. The Timberwolves, meanwhile, will need to win three straight games to advance to the second round. It's a tall task, but the Timberwolves have shown that they are capable of playing with the Mavericks and they will be looking to make a statement in Game 5.
