DallasCowboys
Do you ever wake up in the morning and wonder how the Dallas Cowboys are going to disappoint you today? I know I do. As a lifelong Cowboys fan, I've come to expect the worst and hope for the best. But even I was surprised by their performance last season. They finished 6-10, their worst record since 2015.
What went wrong? Well, there's no shortage of theories. Some say it was the coaching staff. Others say it was the players. And still others say it was the owner, Jerry Jones.
Personally, I think it was a combination of all three. The coaching staff was clearly overmatched. The players were undisciplined and made too many mistakes. And Jerry Jones...well, let's just say he's not exactly known for his patience.
But the biggest problem with the Cowboys last season was their lack of leadership. There was no one on the team who could step up and take control. Dak Prescott was supposed to be that leader, but he was injured for most of the season. Ezekiel Elliott was supposed to be the other leader, but he was suspended for six games.
Without Prescott and Elliott, the Cowboys were rudderless. They had no one to guide them, no one to hold them accountable. And it showed.
So what's the future hold for the Dallas Cowboys? Well, that's anyone's guess. But I'm not optimistic. I think it's going to be a long few years for Cowboys fans.
But hey, at least we have the memories. We all remember the glory days, when the Cowboys were the best team in the NFL. We remember the Super Bowl wins, the iconic players, and the legendary moments.
Those memories will always be with us, no matter how bad the Cowboys get. So even though the future may be bleak, we can still take solace in the past. Go Cowboys!
