Day for Daniel

The Day for Daniel is an annual event held on the last Friday of October in Australia. The day is dedicated to raising awareness of child safety and protecting children from abuse.

The day was first held in 2003, following the abduction and murder of 13-year-old Daniel Morcombe. Daniel was abducted from a bus stop on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, on 7 December 2003. His body was found in bushland near Beerwah, Queensland, on 17 August 2011.

The Day for Daniel is a national day of action to raise awareness of child safety and to promote the importance of keeping children safe. On this day, schools, businesses, and community groups across Australia hold events to raise awareness of child safety and to promote the importance of keeping children safe.

The Day for Daniel is a reminder that we all have a role to play in keeping children safe. We can all do our part by talking to our children about safety, by being aware of the signs of child abuse, and by reporting any concerns to the authorities.

  • Wear red to show your support for child safety.
  • Educate yourself and others about child safety.
  • Donate to a child safety organization.
  • Talk to your children about safety.
  • Be aware of the signs of child abuse.
  • Report any concerns to the authorities.

By working together, we can create a safe environment for all children.
