Dayla Durnin found

Dayla Durnin, the mother of Kyran Durnin, has been found alive and well in the United Kingdom.

The 24-year-old had been missing for three weeks along with her eight-year-old son. Kyran is still missing and is presumed dead.

Gardaí said they are "continuing to investigate the circumstances of Kyran's death." They are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

Dayla Durnin's mother, Rhonda Byrne Tyson, said she was "overjoyed" to have found her daughter alive.

"I just want to hold her and tell her how much I love her," she said.

Dayla Durnin's father, Kyran Snr, said he was "relieved" to know that his daughter was safe.

"I'm just glad she's alive," he said.

Dayla Durnin is currently receiving medical attention.
