About Me

1. Greetings everyone! My name is Tyler Brumfield and I'm from 2. Salem Virginia.  3. I absolutely love social studies and anything to do with it especially history. During the summers growing up my parents and I would always go on vacation to a historical sight such as Jamestown or Gettysburg. 4. My greatest achievment so far would have to be graduating from college and being the first Brumfield male to graduate college! 5. If I had to save one item from my house it would be my Bible but a close second would be a WWII dog tag that my grandfather wore and passed it down to me. 6. If I had to choose one album it would have to be anything to do with Journey because it has a good combination of somber yet upbeat songs. 7. The reason why I'm getting a degree in education is because I believe you never stop being a student and the journey is far greater than the destination in my opinion. I also want to be the best teacher I can possibly be for my students and for myself. 8. I hope to teach secondary social studies next year particulrly middle school history but honestly any grade will do. I also have a desire to eventually teach at the college level sometime in the future. 9. I hope the future holds a lot of fun new experiences but I want my family and friends to be there with me along the way!
