Did Meryl Streep Snub the Queen?

When Meryl Streep was asked if she had met the Queen, she replied, "I met her twice."
The first time was at a royal command performance at the Royal Opera House in London. Streep was performing in "The Seagull" and the Queen was in the audience. After the performance, the Queen came backstage to meet the cast.
"She was very gracious and charming," Streep said. "She complimented me on my performance and we chatted for a few minutes."
The second time Streep met the Queen was at a dinner party at Buckingham Palace. Streep was one of a group of actors and actresses who were invited to the palace to meet the Queen.
"It was a very formal affair," Streep said. "We were all dressed in our finest clothes and the Queen was very elegant."
Streep said that she was very nervous about meeting the Queen the second time.
"I didn't want to say anything stupid or do anything to offend her," she said. "But she was very kind and put me at ease."
Streep said that she was very impressed by the Queen.
"She is a very intelligent and articulate woman," she said. "She is also very warm and compassionate."
Streep said that she is very grateful for the opportunity to have met the Queen.
"It was a very special experience," she said. "I will never forget it."
I think it's great that Meryl Streep has met the Queen twice. It's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for most people. I'm sure it was a very special experience for her.
I also think it's interesting that Streep was nervous about meeting the Queen the second time. It just goes to show that even the most famous and successful people can be starstruck.
I'm glad that Streep had a positive experience meeting the Queen. It's nice to know that the Queen is a kind and compassionate person.
