Donncha O'Callaghan is a former Irish rugby union player who played for Munster, Ireland, and the British and Irish Lions. He is known for his aggressive, physical style of play and his larger-than-life personality.
Growing up in Cork
O'Callaghan was born and raised in Cork, Ireland. He attended Christian Brothers College, where he played rugby, Gaelic football, and hurling. He was a talented athlete and represented Ireland at the underage levels in all three sports.
The man with the golden boots
O'Callaghan made his debut for Munster in 1998 and quickly established himself as a regular in the team. He was part of the Munster team that won the Heineken Cup in 2006 and 2008 and the Celtic League in 2003, 2009, and 2011.
He also won the Six Nations Championship with Ireland in 2009 and 2014 and was part of the British and Irish Lions team that toured South Africa in 2009.
