Don't be Afraid of the Dark with Selen Velmans!

Every night, young Selen Velmans would lie awake in her bed, her heart pounding in her chest. The darkness seemed to close in around her, and she would imagine all sorts of scary things lurking in the shadows. She was afraid to even breathe, for fear that something would hear her and come to get her.

One night, Selen's parents heard her crying in her room. They came in and asked her what was wrong, and she told them she was afraid of the dark. Her parents hugged her and told her that there was nothing to be afraid of, but Selen didn't believe them. She knew that there were monsters out there, just waiting to get her.

The next night, Selen's parents decided to try a different approach. They took her to the library to find some books about the dark. Selen was surprised to find that there were many books about the dark, and all of them said that the dark was not a bad thing. In fact, the dark was a place where you could find all sorts of wonderful things, like stars and fireflies and dreams.

Selen started to read the books, and she slowly began to change her mind about the dark. She realized that the dark was not something to be afraid of, but something to be explored. She started to go on adventures in the dark, and she discovered all sorts of amazing things.

One night, Selen went on a hike in the woods. It was a dark night, but Selen was not afraid. She walked through the trees, and she listened to the sound of the wind in the leaves. She saw the stars twinkling in the sky, and she felt a sense of peace and calm.

Selen realized that the dark was not a bad thing at all. It was a place where you could find all sorts of wonderful things. And most importantly, it was a place where you could find yourself.

Selen Velmans is a brave and curious girl. She has learned that the dark is not something to be afraid of, but something to be explored. She is an inspiration to us all, reminding us that we should never be afraid to face our fears.

If you are afraid of the dark, I encourage you to read Selen's story. It might just change your mind about the dark.
