DV' Savellano: A Life Lived with Integrity and Passion




Deogracias Victor "DV" Savellano was a man of many talents and accomplishments. He was a politician, businessman, and farmer who dedicated his life to serving the people of Ilocos Sur. He passed away on January 6, 2025, but his legacy will live on through the many lives he touched.
DV was born in Cabugao, Ilocos Sur, on November 25, 1959. He was the eldest of seven children born to farmers Victor and Basilisa Savellano. From a young age, DV showed a passion for agriculture and a desire to help others. He graduated from the University of the Philippines Los Baños with a degree in agricultural economics and went on to work as a farmer and businessman.
In 1992, DV was elected to the Ilocos Sur Provincial Board, where he served for six years. In 2001, he was elected governor of Ilocos Sur and served until 2010. During his time as governor, DV implemented a number of programs to improve the lives of the people of Ilocos Sur, including a program to provide free education to all students in the province.
In 2016, DV was elected to the House of Representatives, where he represented the 1st District of Ilocos Sur. He served as a member of the House Committee on Agriculture and Food and the House Committee on Appropriations.
Throughout his career, DV was a strong advocate for the people of Ilocos Sur. He fought for the province's interests in the national government and worked to improve the lives of its people. He was also a dedicated family man and a loving husband and father.
DV Savellano was a man of faith and a strong believer in the power of prayer. He was a member of the Catholic Church and attended Mass regularly. He also believed in the power of education and the importance of giving back to the community.
DV Savellano lived a life that was full of purpose and meaning. He was a man of integrity and passion, and he dedicated his life to serving others. He will be remembered by his family and friends as a kind and generous man who always put the needs of others before his own.
