Easter Friday

It's Friday, and you know what that means! You get to spend the day with your favorite chocolate bunnies and jelly beans! But wait, don't you usually spend the day with family and friends gathering for great meals, and kids hunting for colorful eggs?

That's because today is Good Friday, a day of remembrance for the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. It's a somber day, but it's also a day of hope. It's a day to remember that even in the darkest of times, there is always light at the end of the tunnel.

I know what you're thinking: "But it's the day before Easter! Shouldn't I be celebrating?" Well, yes and no. Easter Sunday is the day we celebrate Jesus' resurrection, but Good Friday is a day to remember why He had to die in the first place. It's a day to remember our own mortality and the sacrifices we've made for love.

So, take some time today to reflect on the meaning of Good Friday. It may not be the most cheerful of holidays, but it's one of the most important.

Here are a few things you can do to commemorate Good Friday:

  • Attend a church service.
  • Read the Bible or other religious texts.
  • Pray or meditate.
  • Fast or give up something you love.
  • Spend time with family and friends.
  • Do something nice for someone else.

No matter how you choose to spend Good Friday, make sure you do something that's meaningful to you. It's a day to remember the ultimate sacrifice, and to be grateful for the love and hope that we have in our lives.

Have a blessed Easter Friday.
