2.  VOCABULARY -- Add these to your Tech Terminology list

 

  • ATTRIBUTION     the crediting of a work to its author or creator.

  • CITATION     the quoting of a book or author in support of a fact; a passage or source stated for this purpose.

  • BIBLIOGRAPHY     the works or a list of the works referred to in a project or used by the creator in its production.

  • MLA     Modern Language Association (organization that makes the rules for formatting CREDITS).

  • POST-PRODUCTION     part of filmmaking and the video production process.  It is a term for all stages of production that happens after the actual end of shooting and or recording the completed work.

  • DISCLAIMER     a statement declaring one's rights and/or responsibilities in a situation; usually in situations that involve some level of uncertainty or risk.

  • SERIF     the little decorative ends on some fonts; not preferred for text in presentations.

  • FAIR-USE     guidelines that permit limited use of copyrighted material without getting permission of the copyright holder.

  • HTML     Hyper Text Markup Language; the computer language in which web pages are written.

  • HTTP     Hyper Text Transfer Protocol; the code that acts like an address of a web site

  • Goal:  Create a crossword puzzle with the ten terms above.  Share the puzzle with a friend, hopefully using Gmail.  Solve the puzzle.  Share with [email protected]

  • Follow the instructions to create the crossword.  Keep your passcode a secret and don't forget it.  Keep your passcode simple.  Write it down if you have to.

  • Click SAVE.

  • Click SHARE.  Click EMAIL.  Send to a friend in this class using Pondo email, like this:  [email protected]

  • EXCHANGE puzzles with that person.  Do his puzzle and he does your puzzle.

  • After you finish, exchange passcodes to reveal the answer key.

  • Raise your hand when done and show Mr. Ricketts for credit.
