The Life and Achievements of Benjamin Franklin

Birth and Childhood:

            Benjamin Franklin was born on January 17, 1706 in Boston, Massachusetts. He was the tenth son and fifteenth child

of Abiah Folger and Josiah Franklin. When Franklin was 12, he served as an apprentice to his brother in a printing shop in Boston. At the age of 17, he ran away from home and went to live in Philadelphia. The next year, he moved to London and continued training to be a printer.
