England Women took on Bangladesh Women in a T20 World Cup clash in Sharjah on Thursday, with the English side emerging victorious by 21 runs.
England, who are ranked No. 2 in the world, were favorites going into the match, but Bangladesh, who are ranked No. 8, gave them a run for their money.
Batting first, England posted a total of 118/7 from their 20 overs, with Danni Wyatt top-scoring with 41. Bangladesh were then restricted to 97/7 in reply, with captain Nigar Sultana top-scoring with 30.

The win moves England to the top of Group B, while Bangladesh remain in third place.
England will now face India in their next match on Saturday, while Bangladesh will take on Australia.
