Evah’s most recent trip to Shillong was during the monsoon season, a time when the city is at its most enchanting. The rain-soaked streets glistened under the soft glow of the streetlights, and the air was filled with the earthy scent of wet soil and blooming flowers.

  • One of Evah’s favorite pastimes in Shillong is to take a leisurely stroll around Ward’s Lake, a beautiful artificial lake located in the heart of the city. The lake is surrounded by a well-maintained promenade, making it an ideal spot for a peaceful walk or a romantic evening stroll.

  • For those interested in history and culture, a visit to the Don Bosco Museum is a must. The museum houses a vast collection of artifacts and exhibits that provide a glimpse into the rich heritage of Meghalaya. From traditional Khasi costumes to ancient fossils, the museum offers a fascinating journey through the ages.

  • A Trek to Elephant Falls
  • For the adventurous, a trek to Elephant Falls is an unforgettable experience. The falls are located about 12 kilometers from Shillong, and the trek takes you through dense forests and scenic landscapes. The reward at the end of the trek is the breathtaking sight of the Elephant Falls, a majestic waterfall that cascades down from a height of over 100 feet.
