Jakarta, Indonesia - Every pet owner has his problems with their naughty furry friend. It does not matter whether it’s a dog or a cat, it would always be an interesting, fun, and sometimes irritating life to own one. Moreover, if you are the kind of owner who let your pets sit on the sofa or on your bed (which, by the way, we can’t really avoid), it can also get a little frustrating to get all those furs off of your couch. You may have already vacuumed and washed your fabrics a thousand times but it just wouldn’t get off. Even when the pets are not clawing or eating the edges of the rug, all the running, climbing and sitting with those clawed feet can do enough damage. All pet owners who have the same complaints can attest to that.
Not to worry though. There are a lot of available pet-friendly fabrics which are woven just for you.
1. Leather
With its texture, you do not have to worry about furs sticking on the upholstery. Besides, leather always has a level feel into it which makes it suitable for any room theme. It is also long lasting and cannot immediately wear and tear out. It can also bear long sitting not only for your pets but for you, your family and friends as well. It is easy to clean leather, but if you are having any problems, get it professionally cleaned because leather is relatively expensive.
2. Micro Fiber
In the term itself, it is made of very little fiber which attracts fur. It is synthetic and is second to leather when it comes durability from claws, scratches and bites but unlike leather which is plane and dull brown, micro fiber have different patterns.
3. Outdoor Fabric
Outdoor fabrics are widely available and are extremely easy to clean. Plus, it does not have any wool on it. It also has a lot available designs and patterns which can be used in many different theme rooms from Bohemian to Modern Minimalist. On top of that, it is pet-friendly.
If these fabrics are to be used when you have pets, there are also those which you should avoid:
1. Velvet
Velvet looks luxurious and pristine but its elegance can quickly fade with pets within boundaries.
2. Wool
Wools and fur attract each other and if you don’t want to lose your mind trying to separate one from the other, you better avoid buying this kind of material.
