Flew to Paris?! Anessa Blankenberg Spends Christmas In The City Of Lights

Destination: Paris, France
Dates: December 20-25, 2023
Budget: $4,500 for flights, lodging, activities, food and souvenirs
It`s a magical time of year to spend in Europe, and my friend Anessa Blankenberg and I were determined to make the best of this special time together. We decided that a trip to Paris would be perfect.
Paris is always a good idea. The two of us have dreamt of walking down the Champs-Élysées, visiting the Louvre, and sipping champagne on a bateau mouche. But the best part of all was just wandering around the city and soaking up the atmosphere.
We took in the sights like the Notre Dame Cathedral, the Eiffel Tower, and the Arc de Triomphe.
Our favorite museum was Musée d'Orsay which houses a large collection of Impressionist art. We were stunned by the beauty of Monet's "Water Lilies" and Degas' "Little Dancer, Aged Fourteen." And, of course, we couldn't miss the Mona Lisa at the Louvre, although it was much smaller than we expected!
The food in Paris was out of this world. We ate at some of the city's best restaurants, like Le Jules Verne and Le Train Bleu. In fact, our favorite meal was at a small café in Montmartre. We had the most delicious steak frites and escargots. We also enjoyed the macarons from Ladurée. I'd never tasted anything like them before.
One of the highlights of our trip was a river cruise down the Seine. We sipped champagne and took in the sights of the city. It was such a beautiful way to see the city at night.
We also took a day trip to Versailles. We toured the stunning palace and gardens. I was so impressed by the Hall of Mirrors. It was even more beautiful than I had imagined.
Overall, we had an amazing trip. Paris is a city that has it all – history, culture, food, and beauty. We can't wait to go back again!
