Fortnight

Do you remember the time when you were a kid and you had a fortnight off school? It was the best time of the year! You could sleep in, hang out with your friends, and play video games all day long. There was no homework, no tests, and no worries. It was just two weeks of pure bliss.
I remember one fortnight when I was about 10 years old. I woke up every morning at around 10am and made myself a bowl of cereal. Then I would go outside and play with my friends until dinnertime. We would play tag, hide-and-seek, and kickball. We would also build forts out of cardboard boxes and blankets.
After dinner, I would usually watch TV or read a book. I loved reading the Harry Potter books. I would often get so engrossed in the stories that I would forget to eat my dinner.
At bedtime, I would always have a hard time falling asleep. I would lie in bed and think about all the fun things I had done that day. I would also think about all the fun things I was going to do the next day.
I remember that fortnight as one of the best times of my life. It was a time when I was free to be a kid and have fun. I didn't have to worry about anything, and I could just enjoy my time off.
I know that not everyone has the same memories of fortnight. For some people, it was a time of boredom and loneliness. But for me, it was a time of freedom and fun. It was a time that I will never forget.

Now that I'm an adult, I don't get fortnight off school anymore. But I still have fond memories of those carefree days. I'm grateful for the time I had to be a kid and just enjoy life.

If you're a kid, I hope you're enjoying your fortnight off school. Make the most of it, because it will be over before you know it.

If you're an adult, I hope you have fond memories of your fortnight off school. I know I do.
