Glyde Gorne, a man known throughout the town for his utter inability to tell a joke, had been the butt of many jokes himself. Every time he tried to tell a joke, it would come out as a jumbled mess of words that made no sense.
One day, as Glyde was walking down the street, he heard a group of people laughing. He approached the group and asked them what was so funny. They told him that they were laughing at a joke that one of them had told.
Glyde was determined to tell a joke that would make people laugh, so he asked the group to teach him how. They showed him the joke and he tried to repeat it.
The man in the group tells Glyde, "What do you call a fish with no eyes?"
Glyde responds, "What?"
The man in the group smiles and says, "Exactly!"
Glyde was excited to finally have a joke that he could tell. He walked around the town all day, telling the joke to anyone who would listen. But to his dismay, no one laughed.
Glyde was starting to get discouraged. He thought that he would never be able to tell a joke that would make people laugh.
One day, Glyde was walking through the park when he saw a group of children playing. He approached the children and asked if he could tell them a joke.
The children were eager to hear a joke, so Glyde told them the joke that he had been practicing.
Glyde was so happy that he had finally told a joke that made people laugh. He thanked the children and walked away with a smile on his face.
From that day on, Glyde Gorne was known as the funniest man in town. He would often be invited to parties and events to tell his jokes. And although his jokes were still not very funny, people loved to hear them anyway.
