Go to Rwanda, Get Lost, and Find Yourself: Tanko Benedi's Odyssey

Hi, I'm Tanko Benedi, and I'm here to tell you about my life-changing trip to Rwanda. I know what you're thinking: Rwanda? Isn't that where the genocide happened? Yes, it is. But Rwanda is also a country of incredible beauty, warmth, and resilience.
I went to Rwanda on a whim, really. I had always wanted to see the gorillas, but I never thought I'd actually get the chance. But when a friend of mine told me she was going on a group trip, I decided to just go for it.
I'm so glad I did. Rwanda is an amazing country, and the people are some of the friendliest I've ever met. I met Tanko Benedi, a local guide who showed me around the country. He was so knowledgeable and passionate about his country, and he made sure I had the best possible experience.
One of the highlights of my trip was going on a gorilla trek. We hiked through the jungle for hours, and finally, we came across a family of gorillas. It was an incredible experience to see these amazing creatures in their natural habitat.
But my trip to Rwanda was about more than just gorillas. I also got to learn about the country's history and culture. I visited the Kigali Genocide Memorial, and I was deeply moved by the stories of the survivors. I also visited a local market, and I was amazed by the vibrant colors and the friendly people.
I came to Rwanda expecting to see a country that had been scarred by war. But what I found was a country that is full of life and hope. Rwanda is a country that has overcome great adversity, and it is now a shining example of what is possible when people come together and work for peace.
If you're looking for an adventure, I highly recommend going to Rwanda. It's a country that will change your life.
Here are some tips for planning your trip to Rwanda:
* Book your gorilla trek in advance. Permits are limited, so it's important to book early.
* Pack for all types of weather. Rwanda is a tropical country, but it can get cold in the mountains.
* Be prepared for a lot of walking. The gorilla trek is challenging, but it's definitely worth it.
* Bring a camera to capture all of the amazing sights.
* Learn a few basic Kinyarwanda phrases. The people of Rwanda are very friendly, and they will appreciate your effort to learn their language.
I hope you have a wonderful time in Rwanda!
