Hey, we’re going to be set up for the Groundhog Marathon and Half Marathon anyway, no sense in just long-distance people having all the fun. Come run one loop (4.4ish miles) of the course in the moonlight, which means you MUST have a headlamp or some other form of lights to guide you along the way.

2021 COVID-19 STUFF - This year we will not be putting up a tent, so dress warmly and have extra stuff to wear before and after the race. Hopefully the weather will be like 2020 rather than 2019. You'll need to wear masks before the race starts and after you're done when you're around people. It's likely we'll be doing a "rolling start" so you're not all bunched up.

NOTE--IF THE WHOLE STATE OF MICHIGAN IS IN A STATE OF EMERGENCY AND NOTHING IS ALLOWED TO HAPPEN ANYWHERE, WE WILL POSTPONE THE 9TH ANNUAL GROUNDHOG DAY MARATHON WEEKEND TO 2022.

Registration includes race sweatshirt and finisher's medal! And if you are so inclined, sign up for the half or full marathon the next morning and get a hat for running the "whole hog" of "half hog".

And of course, it’s a winter running event, in Grand Rapids Michigan, YES! THERE WILL PROBABLY BE LOTS OF SNOW ON THE COURSE! There are no refunds, no deferrals, no transfers.
