Guillermo Barros Schelotto is an Argentine football coach and former player who is currently the manager of Los Angeles Galaxy in Major League Soccer.
Born in La Plata, Argentina, on May 4, 1973, Schelotto began his playing career with Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata in 1991. He went on to play for a number of clubs in Argentina, including Boca Juniors, River Plate, and Newell's Old Boys.
Schelotto also had a successful international career, representing Argentina at the 1998 and 2002 FIFA World Cups. He was part of the Argentina squad that won the silver medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics.
After retiring from playing in 2011, Schelotto began his coaching career with Lanús in 2012. He led Lanús to the 2013 Copa Sudamericana title, the club's first major international trophy.
In 2016, Schelotto was appointed manager of Boca Juniors. He led Boca to two Primera División titles, the 2017 Copa Argentina, and the 2018 Supercopa Argentina. He also led Boca to the final of the 2018 Copa Libertadores, where they lost to River Plate.
