Gurmit Singh is a Singaporean actor, comedian, presenter, and television personality. He was prominently a full-time Mediacorp artist from 1994 to 2014. He is best known for his role as Phua Chu Kang in the sitcom Phua Chu Kang Pte Ltd.

Singh was born in Singapore on 24 March 1965. He attended Outram Secondary School and Outram Pre-University.

Singh began his career in the entertainment industry in 1994, when he joined Mediacorp. He quickly rose to fame, and soon became one of the most popular actors in Singapore. He has starred in numerous television series and films.
