GWS Giants




You've probably heard of the GWS Giants - or at least you've seen their bright orange guernseys on the footy field. They're Sydney's first AFL team, and in just their 10th year in the competition, they've already made it to the Grand Final. But there's a lot more to the Giants than meets the eye.
The Giants were founded in 2009 with the mission of bringing AFL to Western Sydney. The team is based in the Sydney Olympic Park precinct, and they play their home games at Spotless Stadium. The Giants are owned by a consortium of investors, including the AFL, the NSW Government, and the Sydney Cricket and Sports Ground Trust.
