Offering Sweets: Sweet dishes such as laddoos and mithai are prepared and offered as prasad to Goddess Lakshmi.
Receiving Blessings: Elders in the family bless younger members with Akshat (a mixture of rice and vermilion) and wish them a prosperous and healthy year ahead.
