I've been a rugby fan for as long as I can remember. I grew up watching my dad play, and I always loved the game's physicality and camaraderie. When I was old enough, I started playing myself, and I quickly fell in love with the sport.
After a few years of playing, I realized that I had a knack for refereeing. I was able to stay calm under pressure, and I had a good understanding of the rules. I started refereeing youth matches, and I quickly moved up the ranks.
In 2017, I became the Scottish Rugby Union's first full-time professional women's referee. It was a huge honor, and I was determined to do my best to represent the sport and my country.
Since then, I've had the opportunity to referee some of the biggest matches in the world, including the Women's Six Nations and the World Cup. It's been an incredible journey, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the game I love.
I'm proud to be a role model for other women and girls who want to get involved in rugby. I want to show them that anything is possible if you set your mind to it.
I'm excited to see what the future holds for women's rugby. I believe that the sport is growing in popularity, and I'm confident that we'll see even more women and girls getting involved in the years to come.
I hope my story inspires you to get involved in rugby, whether as a player, a referee, or a fan. It's a great sport that has something to offer everyone.
