Nature As We Know It

The feeling of warm sand gently squishing between your toes as you take every step, the radiant and shining hot sun reflecting on everything that could be seen from miles, the sound of children playing and laughing as they play in the sand; Known to all as mother nature, her fury comes with great beauty and creation. I have experienced these things in the past, before the destruction of humans. We have cleared countless rain forests, overfished oceans, killing animals for sport, polluted rivers, built over wetlands and dumped all our waste into the ocean. Something to this day where I am very regretful and remorseful for being a part of,  but with this information, I will apprise you, you have an opportunity to differ from the past and to change the future.

Nature also had an abundance of supplies and gifts that would make our survival much easier for not only humans but all animals. Mother nature supplied everything you can imagine; food, shelter, oxygen, water, animal, even to our very existence. Animals to hunt when we were hungry, water to drink when we were thirsty, trees to breathe in air and shelter to protect us from the strange environments surrounding us. Mother nature provides bacteria to kill off other infections that we could not see with the eye of a human. She also provides a sense of serenity for humans, which is why so many would go out camping, climb mountains, fishing, hiking, running and other activities that bring them closer to nature. There were even those who would completely abandon human civilization to be one with human nature, it was very enticing. It has been said that mother nature could be a help spiritually. Mother Nature helped us make sense of this world emotionally and physically. “We gave it human qualities we could understand, spirits we considered our equals – we didn’t consider ourselves superior. The spirits became our brethren and helped us feel part of a greater whole. Among spirits, we were never alone. To be among the land and sea calmed us, and gave us a sense of our greater self”.

Due to global warming, the ice caps on both the north and south pole are being melted, causing us to lose a majority of the Earth’s freshwater supply. The sea levels are also rising due to this, which is causing land to sink further into the ocean. Climate change has been increasing the amount of desert, turning beautiful rainforests into dry “barren areas of the landscape where little precipitation occurs and, consequently, living conditions are hostile for plant and animal life. The lack of vegetation exposes the unprotected surface of the ground to the processes of denudation” increasing temperature globally. All the activities that humans deemed necessary at the time, caused these conflicts of global warming. The 2020 great bushfires of Australia was a prime example of these effects. The fires killed a staggering 1 billion animals in its quake, which was unprecedented at the time. While we did see the effects of what was being done, we continued on the same path with no improvements. With our future being so bleak, we need everyone to do what they can to stop this from occurring anymore. Our countless years of corruption, mother nature has fallen victim to our action.

As beautiful as nature was, for human civilization to advance, we have destroyed entire ecosystems to do so. The once green and luscious rainforests have been completely desecrated, these were instrumental in our survival in the past and provided many things you could not obtain elsewhere. Oceans are filled with trash, as humans don’t have anywhere else to dump it, causing our underwater ecosystems to struggle to survive, and even die out. Preserving nature is an important task for you guys, please do what we could not. If nature is not protected, all of you will lose a lot of important resources that we did. In the end, survival is becoming increasingly difficult, and I want to save you from this so please heed my word.
