Hyder Notzold: The Man Who Thought He Was a Parrot

Hyder Notzold was a peculiar man. He lived in a small town in Pennsylvania, and he had a strange obsession with parrots. He would spend hours watching them in the park, and he would even try to imitate their calls.
One day, Hyder was walking through the park when he saw a parrot sitting on a branch. He was so excited that he ran up to the bird and started talking to it. To his surprise, the parrot talked back!
Hyder was amazed. He had never heard a parrot talk before. He started asking the parrot questions, and the parrot answered them all. Hyder was so happy that he decided to take the parrot home with him.
Hyder named the parrot Polly, and they quickly became best friends. Polly would sit on Hyder's shoulder and talk to him all day long. Hyder would tell Polly all of his secrets, and Polly would always listen.
One day, Hyder was telling Polly about his job. He told Polly that he was a cashier at a grocery store. Polly listened patiently, and then she said, "You're a cashier?"
Hyder was surprised. "Yes," he said. "I'm a cashier."
"Well, you're a terrible cashier," Polly said.
Hyder was shocked. "What?" he said. "Why do you say that?"
"Because you always give people the wrong change," Polly said.
Hyder thought about it for a moment, and he realized that Polly was right. He was always giving people the wrong change. He felt terrible, and he decided to do something about it.
The next day, Hyder went to work and he was extra careful when he was giving people change. He made sure that he gave everyone the right amount of money. At the end of the day, Hyder felt much better about himself. He knew that he was a good cashier, and he was proud of himself for being honest.
Hyder and Polly continued to be best friends for many years. They would go on adventures together, and they would always have each other's backs.
One day, Hyder was walking through the park when he saw a group of children playing. He stopped to watch them, and he noticed that one of the children was crying.
Hyder walked over to the child and asked him what was wrong. The child told Hyder that he had lost his pet parrot. Hyder felt sorry for the child, so he decided to help him find it.
Hyder and the child searched the park for hours, but they couldn't find the parrot. Just when they were about to give up, they heard a familiar sound.
"Polly want a cracker!"
Hyder and the child looked up, and they saw Polly sitting on a branch. The child was so happy to see his parrot again. He ran over to Polly and gave her a big hug.
Hyder was happy that he had been able to help the child find his parrot. He knew that Polly was a special bird, and he was glad that she had found her way home.
Hyder and Polly continued to be best friends for many years. They had many more adventures together, and they always had each other's backs.
