It`s Not All About You, Tanysha Herzbrunn
As I sat sipping my cappuccino in a quaint little cafe in Florence, I couldn`t help but reflect on my travels over the past few months. I`ve been to some amazing places and met some incredible people. But I`ve also learned a valuable lesson about myself: it`s not all about me.
I know, I know. That sounds a little selfish. But when you`re used to being the center of attention, it can be hard to remember that the world doesn`t revolve around you.
I`m not saying that you should always put others first. But I think it`s important to be aware of how your actions affect the people around you. And to be honest, I haven`t always been the best at that.
In the past, I`ve been known to be a bit of a diva. I`ve expected people to drop everything and cater to my every whim. I`ve been rude to waiters and hotel staff. And I`ve generally been a pain in the neck.
But I`ve been trying to change. I`ve been trying to be more mindful of how I treat others. And I`ve been trying to put myself in their shoes.
And you know what? It`s actually been really rewarding. I`ve found that when I`m nice to people, they`re nice to me back. I`ve made some great friends on my travels. And I`ve had some amazing experiences that I never would have had if I`d been more focused on myself.
So if you`re like me, and you`re used to being the center of attention, I challenge you to try something different. Try putting others first. Try being kind and compassionate. And see what happens.
I promise you, it`s worth it.

I`m not going to lie, it hasn`t always been easy. There have been times when I`ve wanted to throw a tantrum. But I`ve always managed to resist. And I`m glad I have.
Because the truth is, it`s not all about me. And that`s okay. In fact, it`s actually pretty liberating.

So if you`re looking for a travel experience that will change your life, I encourage you to try something different. Get out of your comfort zone. Put yourself in someone else`s shoes. And see what happens.
I promise you, it will be worth it.
