Jack Tuttle





Jack Tuttle is a former American football quarterback who played for the Indiana Hoosiers, Utah Utes, and Michigan Wolverines. He was a four-star recruit and the highest-rated quarterback in the state of California in the 2018 class. Tuttle was named the starting quarterback for the Wolverines in 2022, but he suffered a season-ending injury in the first game of the season. He retired from football in 2023 due to a string of concussions and other health issues.


Tuttle was born in San Marcos, California, and attended Mission Hills High School. He was a four-year starter for the Grizzlies and led them to a CIF San Diego Section championship in 2017. Tuttle was named the Gatorade Player of the Year for California in 2017 and was also named a first-team All-American by MaxPreps.


Tuttle committed to play college football at Michigan in 2018. He redshirted his first year on campus and then served as the backup quarterback to Shea Patterson in 2019. Tuttle started one game in 2019, a 45-14 loss to Wisconsin.


In 2020, Tuttle transferred to Indiana. He played immediately for the Hoosiers and started 10 games. He threw for 1,936 yards, 12 touchdowns, and six interceptions. Tuttle also rushed for 207 yards and two touchdowns.


Tuttle transferred to Utah in 2021. He did not play in 2021 and then decided to return to Michigan in 2022. He was named the starting quarterback for the Wolverines in 2022, but he suffered a season-ending injury in the first game of the season. Tuttle retired from football in 2023 due to a string of concussions and other health issues.


Tuttle is a talented quarterback with a strong arm and good athleticism. He has a bright future in football, but he needs to stay healthy in order to reach his full potential.
