Jalante Stahl was walking through a field of marigolds when he suddenly stepped into a soft spot. He sank down into the mud, up to his knees. He tried to pull himself out, but the mud was too thick and sticky. He was stuck.
Jalante tried to call for help, but no one could hear him. He was all alone in the field of marigolds, and he was starting to get scared.
Just when Jalante was about to give up, he saw a little girl walking towards him. The girl was about 10 years old, and she had long, curly hair. She was carrying a basket of flowers.
"Excuse me," the girl said. "Are you okay?"
Jalante nodded his head. "I'm stuck," he said. "I can't get out of this mud."
The girl smiled. "I can help you," she said. "My name is Lily."
Lily reached down and grabbed Jalante's hand. She pulled him out of the mud and onto his feet.
"Thank you," Jalante said. "You saved me."
Lily smiled again. "You're welcome," she said. "I'm glad I could help."
Jalante and Lily talked for a while. Jalante learned that Lily lived on a farm nearby. She loved to play in the fields of marigolds, and she knew all the best spots to find the prettiest flowers.
Jalante asked Lily if she would like to help him find his way out of the field. Lily agreed, and they set off together.
They walked for a while, and finally they came to a fence. Jalante climbed over the fence, and Lily followed him. They were now standing on a road.
"Thank you again for your help," Jalante said. "I would have been lost without you."
"You're welcome," Lily said. "I'm glad I could help."
Jalante and Lily said goodbye, and Jalante started walking down the road. He couldn't help but smile as he thought about his adventure in the field of marigolds. He had met a kind little girl who had saved him from getting stuck in the mud. He would never forget Lily.
As Jalante walked down the road, he thought about his life. He had been through a lot of tough times, but he had always come out on top. He was a survivor. And he knew that no matter what challenges life threw his way, he would always find a way to get through them.
