I always dreamed of going to the Amazon rainforest. I wanted to see the lush green vegetation, the teeming wildlife, and the mighty Amazon River. I hadn’t told anyone about my plans. If I dared mention the Amazon, my friends called me crazy. No one understood my fascination with that place. Why would anyone want to travel to a place with creepy crawlies, blood-sucking insects, and poisonous animals?
I didn’t tell my friends what I thought. I felt sure that everyone has a place on this earth. A place that calls to them. A place they dream of. And the Amazon was mine.
So I booked a trip to the Amazon rainforest. I was so excited! I couldn't wait to see all the amazing things that I had only read about in books.
I arrived in the Amazon rainforest and was immediately struck by the beauty of the place. The vegetation was so lush and green, and the wildlife was so abundant. I saw monkeys, parrots, and even a few jaguars.
