Jess Glynn: A Pop Star in Her Own Right

There are a lot of really famous pop stars these days. That's a great thing. It gives everyone the opportunity to find a singer they enjoy listening to and that fits their tastes. Of course, this can also have an adverse effect on pop artists, especially those who are just starting. With so many famous faces already out there, trying to get attention can be very difficult.
That's not to say that it's an impossible thing to do, however. Jess Glynne knows this first hand, as she's managed to carve out a very successful career for herself as a musician, songwriter, and performer. If you don't know who she is, then keep reading to find out all about one of the most gifted vocalists in pop music today.

Humble Beginnings

Jess Glynne was born in London, England in October of 1989. She grew up surrounded by a musical family and began taking singing lessons at a young age. She wrote her first song at age 15. She loved telling a story through her songs and didn't like simply repeating the same lyrics over and over again. That may not seem like much, but it actually separates her from quite a few other pop singers.
Glynne went on to attend the BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology, where she studied music and performing arts. When she was 18 years old, she signed a songwriting contract with Atlantic Records. She also recorded a demo album, and this is what brought her to the attention of other artists who were looking for songwriters. This would lead to Glynne being credited with writing and co-writing many songs for other artists, such as Clean Bandit, Rita Ora, Ella Henderson, and Tinie Tempah.

Solo Success

Glynne began her solo career in 2014 when she was featured on the Clean Bandit song, "Rather Be." The song reached number one in the UK and gave Glynne a chance to showcase her vocal abilities to a wider audience.
Later that same year, Glynne released her own debut single, "Hold My Hand." The song reached number one in the UK and was followed by her debut album, "I Cry When I Laugh," which was released in 2015. The album reached number one in the UK and spawned several hit singles, including "Don't Be So Hard on Yourself" and "Take Me Home."
In 2018, Glynne released her second album, "Always in Between." The album reached number one in the UK and spawned the hit singles "I'll Be There" and "Thursday." Glynne is currently working on her third album.

Personal Life

Glynne is very private about her personal life, but it is known that she has a partner and a young child. She is also a passionate advocate for mental health awareness.
Emerging into the music scene all those years ago, Glynne must have never imagined the kind of success she'd go on to achieve. Her career has gone from strength to strength, and she has become one of the most respected and successful pop stars in the UK. She's an inspiration to many, and her story shows that anything is possible if you have the talent and the drive.
