Jetstar NZ: The Budget Airline That's Actually Worth Flying

I've been flying with Jetstar NZ for years now, and I've never had a bad experience. In fact, I've actually come to prefer them over some of the more expensive airlines.

Here's why:
  • The prices are unbeatable. Jetstar NZ is consistently one of the cheapest airlines in New Zealand. I've flown round-trip from Auckland to Christchurch for as low as $50.
  • The service is surprisingly good. The staff are always friendly and helpful, and they're always willing to go the extra mile. I've even had them help me find my lost luggage on more than one occasion.
  • The planes are clean and comfortable. I've never had a problem with the cleanliness of the planes, and the seats are always comfortable enough for a short flight.
  • The food is actually pretty good. I know, I know, budget airlines aren't known for their food. But Jetstar NZ's food is actually pretty good. I've had their chicken and rice several times, and it's always been tasty.

Of course, there are some downsides to flying with Jetstar NZ. For example, they don't offer free checked bags, and their baggage fees can be a bit pricey. But overall, I think the pros outweigh the cons. If you're looking for a cheap and reliable airline, I highly recommend Jetstar NZ.

Here's a funny story about my experience with Jetstar NZ:

I was flying from Auckland to Christchurch one time, and I was sitting next to a woman who was clearly very nervous about flying. She kept her hands clenched in her lap, and I could see that she was white-knuckled. I tried to make small talk with her, but she was too nervous to really talk. Eventually, she turned to me and said, "I'm sorry, but I'm just so scared of flying. I've never flown before, and I'm not sure what I'm getting myself into." I smiled and said, "Don't worry, I'm a pilot. I'll take good care of you." She looked at me in disbelief, and I could tell that she was starting to calm down. By the end of the flight, we were chatting like old friends.
