Joe Milton is a quarterback for the Tennessee Volunteers. He is a 6'5", 245-pound redshirt sophomore from Orlando, Florida. Milton was rated as a four-star recruit by Rivals.com and was considered one of the top quarterback prospects in the 2018 class.
Milton enrolled at the University of Michigan in 2018 and redshirted his first season. In 2019, he played in four games as a backup to Shea Patterson. Milton completed 18 of 34 passes for 225 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions. After Patterson graduated, Milton was named the starting quarterback for the 2020 season.
Milton started the first five games of the 2020 season, but he suffered a season-ending injury in the fifth game against Wisconsin. In those five games, Milton completed 91 of 151 passes for 1,118 yards, six touchdowns, and four interceptions.
Milton transferred to Tennessee in 2021. He started the first three games of the season, but he was benched in favor of Hendon Hooker in the fourth game. Milton has not played since then.
