$$$Jontay Porter signs his first NBA contract$$$

A new signing for a promising player has taken place.
On Thursday, the Memphis Grizzlies announced that they have signed center Jontay Porter to a two-way contract.
Porter, 23, went undrafted in the 2019 NBA draft after suffering a torn ACL in his left knee during his sophomore season at Missouri.
He has since played for the Grizzlies' NBA G League affiliate, the Memphis Hustle, and has averaged 12.2 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 1.9 blocks per game this season.
The Grizzlies are excited to have Porter on their roster, the President of Basketball Operations said of the player.
"He's a talented young player who has worked hard to get back from injury," said he. "We're looking forward to seeing him continue to develop and contribute to our team."
Porter's signing is a good sign for his career. The Grizzlies clearly see something in him, and they are willing to give him a chance to prove himself.
If Porter can stay healthy and continue to develop, he has the potential to be a valuable player for the Grizzlies. He is a skilled scorer, rebounder, and defender, and he has the potential to be a key piece of their future.
