Jordan Love's injury: A closer look

“Ow! My leg!”
That was the sound of Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love going down with an apparent lower leg injury in the final seconds of Friday night's preseason game against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Love was scrambling to his left when he was tackled by Eagles defensive end Jalen Carter. Love immediately grabbed at his lower leg and was helped off the field by trainers.
The Packers have not yet released any information on the severity of Love's injury, but he is expected to undergo an MRI when the team returns to Green Bay.
Love's injury is a major concern for the Packers, who are already without starting quarterback Aaron Rodgers due to a thumb injury. If Love is forced to miss any significant time, the Packers will be left with only two quarterbacks on their roster: Danny Etling and Jake Dolegala.
Etling started Friday's game in place of Rodgers and went 11-of-19 for 109 yards and a touchdown. Dolegala played the final series of the game and went 1-of-2 for 11 yards.
The Packers are hoping that Love's injury is not serious, but they will need to prepare for the possibility that he will miss some time. If Love is out, Etling would likely start in his place, with Dolegala serving as the backup.
The Packers are scheduled to open the regular season on September 11th against the Minnesota Vikings.
