Justinthomas Harck Almost Roasted a Marshmallow on a Candle Flame

By Justinthomas Harck

As a seasoned outdoorsman and all-around thrill-seeker, I've roasted my fair share of marshmallows. But recently, I had an experience that left me feeling a little singed and more than a tad foolish.

It was a cozy evening, and I had set up camp in my backyard. I had everything I needed: a crackling campfire, a bag of marshmallows, and a couple of willing participants. As the flames danced merrily, I skewered a marshmallow on a stick and prepared to roast it to perfection.

But as I extended my stick towards the fire, a sudden gust of wind blew. The flames flickered and danced, momentarily obscuring the target. In a moment of panic, I misjudged the distance and plunged my marshmallow straight into the roaring inferno.

The result was nothing short of spectacular. The marshmallow burst into flames, sending sparks and embers flying. My companions gasped in horror as I desperately tried to extinguish the blazing sugar. But alas, my efforts were futile. The marshmallow was consumed by the flames, leaving nothing but a charred stick behind.

Lesson learned: Never roast marshmallows on a windy day. And always be aware of your surroundings before plunging into the fire. Luckily, my pride was the only thing that got burned, but I'm not sure I'll ever live down this marshmallow misadventure.

As I sat there contemplating my folly, I couldn't help but chuckle at the absurdity of it all. Who would have thought that roasting a marshmallow could lead to such a hilarious disaster?

But hey, at least I have a good story to tell. And who knows, maybe one day I'll be able to roast a marshmallow on a candle flame without setting it on fire. Until then, I'll stick to the campfire. It's a much safer option, and I'm pretty sure I can control the wind there.

Moral of the story: Sometimes, even the most experienced adventurers make silly mistakes. But as long as we can laugh at ourselves, it's all part of the fun.
