Early Life and College Career

Kenneth Walker was born on October 20, 2000, in Arlington, Tennessee. He played football at Arlington High School, where he was a two-time all-state selection. After graduating from high school, Walker committed to play college football at Wake Forest University. As a freshman at Wake Forest, Walker rushed for 1,158 yards and 17 touchdowns. He was named the ACC Rookie of the Year and was selected to the All-ACC second team.

Walker transferred to Michigan State University after his freshman season. In his sophomore season at Michigan State, Walker rushed for 1,194 yards and 9 touchdowns. He was named the Big Ten Running Back of the Year and was selected to the All-Big Ten first team. Walker followed up his sophomore season with another strong performance in his junior season, rushing for 1,636 yards and 18 touchdowns. He was named the Walter Camp Player of the Year and was a finalist for the Heisman Trophy.

NFL Career

The Seahawks selected Walker with the 41st overall pick in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft. Walker made an immediate impact in his rookie season, starting 17 games and leading all rookies in rushing yards and touchdowns. He was named to the NFL All-Rookie Team and was a Pro Bowl alternate.

Kenneth Walker is the son of Kenneth Walker Jr. and Keisha Walker. He has two sisters, Kanijai and Kylah. Walker is a devout Christian and is involved in several charitable organizations.
