Kevin Rowland

Kevin Rowland is a man of many talents. He's a singer, songwriter, and frontman of the band Dexys Midnight Runners. He's also a bit of a character, with a unique sense of style and a wicked sense of humor. I had the pleasure of meeting Kevin a few years ago, and I was immediately struck by his charisma and his passion for music. He's a true original, and I'm grateful for the chance to have met him.

Kevin was born in Dublin, Ireland, in 1955. He grew up in a working-class family, and he left school at the age of 15 to work as a laborer. But he always had a passion for music, and he started playing guitar and singing in local pubs at a young age.

In 1978, Kevin formed Dexys Midnight Runners. The band's first album, Searching for the Young Soul Rebels, was a huge success, and it spawned the hit singles "Geno" and "Come On Eileen." Dexys Midnight Runners went on to release several more successful albums, but they broke up in 1982. Kevin continued to make music as a solo artist, and he has released several albums over the years.
