Kogi State Minimum Wage




Ìyá Ìkòlé, are you ready for some news that will make you dánù with joy? Gbogbo wa, àgbà and ọ̀gbọ́n, listen up! Kòsí aláìgbọ̀ran in Kogi State! Our amiable Governor, Alh. Yahaya Bello, has done it again. He has approved a new minimum wage of N72,500 for all civil servants in the state.
Ẹ̀mi ò mọ̀ tí ẹ̀yin kan rò, but I am nlá with joy. This is a huge step forward for our state. It shows that our government cares about the welfare of its people. This new wage will go a long way in improving the living standards of civil servants and their families.
I know what you're thinking: "Èmi kò gbàgbọ́." But believe it, my friend. This is not a gbóhùn èké. The news was announced by the Kogi State Head of Service, Misunni Salami, on Wednesday, October 5, 2024.
In addition to the wage increase, the governor also granted a one-year tax relief to all civil servants in the state. This is another welcome development that will put more money in the pockets of workers.
