Lebanon – A Country in Turmoil

As a Lebanese, I can't help but feel a mix of emotions as I witness my country go through yet another challenging phase in its history. The ongoing economic crisis, political instability, and social unrest have created a perfect storm that has left many of us feeling hopeless and uncertain about the future.
The economy is in shambles. Inflation has skyrocketed, the Lebanese pound has lost over 90% of its value, and unemployment is rampant. Many businesses have been forced to close, and those that remain are struggling to stay afloat. The government has been unable to provide any meaningful relief, and it seems that the country is on the verge of collapse.
The political situation is just as dire. The country has been without a president for over a year, and there is no end in sight to the political deadlock. The Parliament is paralyzed, and the government is unable to function effectively. Corruption is rampant, and it seems that every politician is only looking out for their own interests.
The social unrest is a reflection of the deep frustrations that many Lebanese feel. Protests have been taking place for months, and they have been met with violence from the security forces. The people are demanding change, but it seems that no one is listening.
I can't help but feel a sense of sadness and anger as I watch my country fall apart. I am angry at the politicians who have failed us, and I am angry at the international community for turning a blind eye to our suffering. But most of all, I am angry at the system that has allowed this to happen.
Lebanon is a country with a rich history and a proud people. But it is also a country that has been plagued by conflict and division. I hope that someday we will be able to overcome our challenges and build a better future for ourselves and our children. But for now, I can't help but feel a sense of despair as I watch my country fall apart.
